Chess for four (Four Kingdoms) is an upgraded version of the usual online chess. There are three opponents against you. The rules are similar to conventional chess, but the winner is not the one who checkmate, and who earned more points. Chess for four makes a different way to look at the game of chess. Even an experienced chess player, will test himself as a newcomer to the game.

Keep in mind that you don't have to checkmate everyone to win. In the end, you can even give up by giving up 20 points to the remaining player, but if there are still more points, you win! It is important the number of points scored.

The struggle is important even for the second place. The higher the rating of the players you beat, the more rating points you get.

The first 30 games are the most important. They form the rating. After that, the rating change will be smaller.

Even if you lose a lot of pieces, don't give up. Often it can happen that you will be forgotten, the opponents will start fighting with each other, and it turns out that you are not so weak.

Remember, there are four opponents. Exchanging your pieces at once is not a smart move. An equal exchange weakens two players, and the others become stronger.

Remember the pawns! A pawn held in the queen is a strong piece. It costs 1 point for taking it, but it is as strong as the real queen. So you can either move them one at a time or as a group.

The bishops are just as effective as the rooks. Keep this in mind and don't forget about the diagonals. Especially effective here is " Fianchetto" the bishop. I.e. you move forward the pawn in front of the knight, and then place the bishop there.

Checks are very dangerous! Especially from the player who is on the left, because after this, can take from you a lot of pieces. Take advantage of the fact that the opponent was given a check!

The most dangerous for you is the opponent on the left.

The opponent on the opposite, on the contrary, is the least dangerous. He's furthest away. He can be seen as an ally at the beginning.

Develop your pieces so they control as much space as possible. Protect the king.

Rules:

1. The players move counterclockwise. Red moves first.

2. The pieces move according to the normal rules of chess (no en passant).

3. You get points for capturing pieces: pawn - 1; knight - 3; bishop - 5; rook - 5; queen - 9; king - 20.

4. The player who checkmates receives 20 points, and the player who receives checkmate is out of the game. The player who took the last field of the King's retreat gets points instead of checks to the King. Checkmate counts as soon as the king has no retreating ways.

5. Pawns are turned into queens on 8 horizontally from your edge of the board. Taking the converted queen is awarded 1 point.

6. After a mate, pieces of a matched opponent do not bring any points.

7. When a player surrenders or loses time, his pieces begin to make random moves; taking pieces do not bring points. However, a checkmate or capture of such a king is still worth 20 points.

8. If there is only one player left in the game after surrender or time loss, he receives +20 points for each king that has not yet been eaten or mated.

9. If a player is put in a stalemate, he gets 20 points.

10. After surrender or loss in time points for the losing player are fixed. In the future, the points may increase on the surrendered side, but this will not affect the result of the player.

11. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins. If the score is equal, priority is given to the one who moved later (by priority: green, yellow, blue and red).
